My vision is to see all practitioners be purposeful in their professional fields and inspire them to contribute towards their development, to support others.
My mission at Inspire Supervision, is to provide exceptional professional supervision for social workers and allied health professionals. I aim to empower practitioners to enhance their skills and competency, ensuring the highest level of practice for their clients.
I moved to Ōtautahi Christchurch in 2001 from the South East of the United Kingdom.
My whahanu moved to Aotearoa to seek a better lifestyle and to move closer to whanau (family).
I whakaapa (ancestors) to Ireland on my father's side and Scottish and English on my mother's side. I also have extended whanau here in Ōtautahi and the North Island.
Over the past 15 years I have had experience with:
Community development and initiatives, supporting students in schools, youth groups, early intervention with tamariki (children) and their parents, child mental health services and child protections services.
Through this time, I have been able to work at a governance level within a union and workplaces. I have a good understanding and knowledge of social service networks here in Ōtautahi and across the motu.
I have now begun my journey as an external Professional Supervisor. Both my external supervisor and I deeply understand the significance of effective and meaningful supervision.
